We are pleased to share that our recent work on optical phase change materials has been recognized as one of the top most-viewed papers published in 2025.

The paper, “Understanding and Circumventing Failure Mechanisms in Chalcogenide Optical Phase Change Material Ge₂Sb₂Se₄Te (GSST)”, investigates the endurance limitations of optical PCM devices and identifies the key failure mechanisms during repeated switching cycles.

By establishing physics-based design rules for electrothermal switching structures, the study successfully demonstrated GSST device operation exceeding 67,000 cycles.

This work contributes to the development of reliable programmable photonics, active metasurfaces, optical computing, and software-defined optical systems.
